Boycotting Music: In response to RIAA's insane attack on music lovers, I will not buy another CD, or cassette until they drop this idiotic assault. I also think they need to review the numbers that they use which supposedly justify this lunacy. They claim sales are down 31% due to file sharing. Hogwash. Others that have studied the same numbers find that sales are down 15% and of THAT, only 35% may be due to file sharing.

Now, add in my situation. I don't download music. And except for "Best Of" and "Live" or "Concert" CD's, I haven't bought a new-release CD in at least five years. That's because that most music released on CD's today is crap. You get 11 songs of which, one is worth listening to. For that, you pay anywhere from $12.99 - $17.99. That's crap! RIAA should go back into their numbers and break them down by what types of CD's are and are not selling and then do an analysis of the content and quality.

You can see that in my case a boycott will be fairly easy and won't be much of a sacrifice. On the other hand, I will not support an industry that attacks it's customers.
