State of the Democrats Part X: To all the forlorn Dems who are whining and throwing their temper tantrums- "I'm moving to Italy!"- and all that garbage; welcome to the world of conservatives under eight years of Clinton! Conservatives stood by through two elections where Clinton NEVER got more than 50% of the vote. We watched while the country elected an admitted draft dodger who hated the military. We watched- figuratively speaking- as he molested interns in the Oval Office and then committed perjury about it in a courtroom.
The big difference I see is that conservatives solidified their resolve, hung in and fought to make their case to the voters. I don't remember any wild accusations of fraud or hacking to steal the elections. We went about our business, accepted- grudgingly- that Clinton was our president, and re-engaged in 2000. A valuable lesson for Democrats that may be "soul searching" right now.
